Atouguia da Baleia is a small town on the west coast of Extremadura. It was once a seaport but today it lies inland about three kilometres from the coast. Contrary to local legend, the sea waves never washed the valley.
In the church of São Leonardo rests the warrior DWS#12, Domingos Bartolomeu buried here in 1371. After visiting him we wander through the village in search of pieces of the 14th century world.

Atouguia da Baleia é uma pequena vila no litoral do Oeste da Estremadura. Outrora foi porto de mar mas hoje encontra-se no interior das terras a cerca de três quilómetros da costa. Ao contrário do que afirmam as lendas locais as ondas do mar nunca banharam o vale.
Na igreja de São Leonardo repousa o guerreiro DWS#12, Domingos Bartolomeu, aqui enterrado em 1371. Depois de o visitarmos percorremos a vila em busca de pedaços do mundo do século 14.
